Spurious Medicine Racket Mastermind Nabbed in Delhi

Delhi Police have arrested Pramod Kumar Gupta, the alleged mastermind behind a fake medicines manufacturing racket. Gupta was apprehended following the discovery of a factory illegally producing 'Betnovate' and counterfeit cosmetic products. Authorities are investigating the sources of raw materials and distribution networks.

In a significant crackdown, Delhi Police have detained Pramod Kumar Gupta, believed to be the mastermind behind an extensive spurious medicines manufacturing operation.

Gupta, arrested in the Hazrat Nizamuddin area, was linked to a factory producing unauthorized 'Betnovate' and counterfeit cosmetics, supplying these fake goods across north India.

Police discovered large quantities of raw materials and seized more than 700 tubes of fake 'Fair and Lovely' cream and 800 tubes of spurious 'Veet' cream, highlighting the potential public health risks posed by the racket's operations.
