Punjab's Healthcare Leap: New Hospital Inaugurated
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann opened a state-of-the-art hospital in Dhuri, enhancing healthcare facilities for 58,000 residents and many from neighboring villages. The 50-bedded hospital and 30-bedded maternal block aim to provide comprehensive healthcare, including emergency services, diagnostics, and specialized consultations, supported by newly recruited medical professionals.

In a significant boost to healthcare infrastructure, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated a 50-bedded sub-divisional hospital and a 30-bedded maternal and child health block in Dhuri on Tuesday.
Costing Rs 21.65 crore and sprawling across 73,000 square feet, the hospital is set to transform healthcare accessibility for thousands of residents across Dhuri city and 70 surrounding villages. The facility marks a commitment to strengthening healthcare with comprehensive secondary-level services, including advanced outpatient and inpatient care, emergency services, diagnostics, and specialized consultations.
With 13 OPD rooms, state-of-the-art emergency and diagnostic facilities, and seven operation theatres, the hospital is equipped to handle major and minor surgeries. The maternal block aims to provide superior care for mothers and newborns, ensuring healthier outcomes. Over 1,500 medical professionals, including specialists, have recently been recruited to bolster healthcare services across the region.
