Tragic Lapse: Patient Dies as Hospital's Amenities Fail

In a tragic incident, family members have alleged negligence after a critically ill patient died due to inadequate facilities at R G Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. Biswajit Samanta, brought to the trauma unit on Monday morning, suffered breathing difficulties and nose bleeding.

Despite his condition, Samanta was reportedly forced to walk to an external toilet due to locked patient facilities, collapsing en route. The hospital is under scrutiny, with police registering an unnatural death case as investigations continue.

The hospital's administration faces criticism, including from MLA Atin Ghosh, for lapses in providing emergency care and is urged to improve infrastructure to prevent such incidents.
