Tragic Golgappa Incident: Child Dies, 18 Hospitalised in Jharkhand

In a tragic incident in Jharkhand's Giridih district, a seven-year-old child lost their life and 18 others were hospitalized after consuming popular local snacks 'golgappa' and 'chaat' sold by a street vendor.
The event took place in Leda Bajto village, under the jurisdiction of the Mufassil police station. Villagers gathered on Saturday evening to enjoy the treats, which eventually led to severe food poisoning symptoms by night.
Authorities from Sadar hospital and local police, including Sadar sub-divisional police officer Jeetwahan Oraon, have confirmed the initiation of an investigation. The vendor in question is currently being sought while patients receive necessary medical care.
