Swasth Haryana: The Foundation of Viksit Haryana - Health Innovations and Initiatives

The 10th National Summit on Innovation showcased key projects like the Swasth Bharat Portal and JANANI platform to enhance health infrastructure.

On Thursday, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini underscored the pivotal role of public healthcare in the 'Swasth Haryana' initiative, which lays the groundwork for a developed Haryana. The state has prioritized expansion and modernization of healthcare services, as evidenced by a significant budget increment for the current financial year.

The health sector budget for 2023 saw a 32.89% hike, reaching approximately Rs 14,000 crore, indicating the government's dedication to accessible healthcare for all citizens. From Rs 2,646 crore in 2014 to an anticipated Rs 10,500 crore in 2025-26, the nearly 298% increase is a testament to this commitment.

Addressing the 10th National Summit on Innovation, Chief Minister Saini highlighted the importance of the event in shaping India's public health. Key initiatives including the Swasth Bharat Portal and JANANI platform were launched, aimed at technological integration and improving healthcare delivery. Union Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava also emphasized technological advancements under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, which are transforming healthcare systems across the nation.
