Union Minister Inaugurates ESIC Hospital, Enhancing Worker Healthcare
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated a 100-bedded ESIC Hospital at Doddaballapur and laid the foundation for another at Ballari, marking significant improvements in the ESI Scheme's healthcare facilities. These projects underscore the government's emphasis on social security for workers under Prime Minister Modi's leadership.

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated a new 100-bedded ESIC Hospital located in Doddaballapur, while also laying the foundation for another similar facility in Ballari via remote link. This endeavor marks a milestone in the enhancement of healthcare delivery under the ESI Scheme, affirming the government's commitment to worker welfare.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje and regional MPs. Minister Mandaviya highlighted the importance of ensuring quality healthcare as part of worker social security, reflecting a growing ESIC coverage, now exceeding 64% of India's workforce under social security schemes.
In addition to inaugurations, Minister Mandaviya acknowledged the contributions of construction workers and announced future health screenings for workers. The new facilities, notably the one in Doddaballapur, will serve over 1.42 lakh insured workers and their families, offering comprehensive medical services and reinforcing the infrastructure for labourers across the region.
