A significant fraud has been uncovered in the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme, with officials now investigating financial misconduct that has allegedly cost the state crores of rupees. The scheme was designed to offer free healthcare to the public and government employees, but exploitation by dishonest practitioners has undermined its credibility.

According to Additional Director General of Police (SOG) Vishal Bansal, fake prescriptions and diagnostic reports were generated through a conspiracy involving certain doctors and laboratory operators. This allowed them to fraudulently claim reimbursements from the state government, Bansal revealed during the probe into the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme.

The arrested suspects, Dr. Kamal Kumar Agrawal and Dr. Banwari Lal, together orchestrated the scam. They reportedly issued unnecessary diagnostic tests without examining patients and manipulated report dates to substantiate fraudulent claims. The probe continues, aiming to expose any additional involvement by other healthcare providers in this collusion.
