SOG's Vishal Bansal revealed the malpractice during a probe, uncovering a network of certain doctors and lab operators who allegedly crafted fake prescriptions and diagnostic reports. This scheme allowed them to illegally claim reimbursements from the state.
Notable arrests include Dr Kamal Kumar Agrawal and Dr Banwari Lal, who allegedly prescribed unnecessary tests and created fictitious reports. Investigations continue to identify further parties involved as the state grapples with the financial and credibility impacts of this scam.
