A tragic series of infections following caesarean sections at Kota's New Medical College Hospital has resulted in the deaths of two women. The latest victim, Jyoti Nayak, 19, succumbed to the infection on Thursday morning despite being placed on ventilation support.
Officials have confirmed that four other women remain in critical condition, suffering from severe complications, including kidney failure. Medical teams from Sawai Man Singh Medical College in Jaipur are aiding local doctors to provide better care. Preparations are underway to transfer the ailing patients to Jaipur for specialized treatment.
Grief-stricken family members are protesting, alleging medical negligence, and refusing to claim Jyoti's body. Authorities, including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, have been apprised of the situation as investigations are launched to discover the root cause of these medical mishaps.
