In Sangrur's Moonak, over 70 people, including women and children, experienced illness after consuming wedding food. The affected individuals were rushed to both government and private hospitals for immediate treatment, as confirmed by officials on Wednesday.

Punjab's Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal visited Moonak's Civil Hospital, interacting with patients and assessing their recovery. Goyal instructed health and administrative officials to maintain constant monitoring of the situation until all patients recover. Consequently, health department teams and district administrators expedited treatment, coordinating with doctors from across the region to deliver specialized care.

Goyal emphasized the commitment to uninterrupted medical assistance, highlighting that any form of negligence in care would not be tolerated. Patients expressed satisfaction with the services provided. Reinforcing the gravity of the incident, Goyal advocated for stringent nationwide laws against food adulteration to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
