The World Health Organization (WHO) has unveiled a $518 million plan to combat the ongoing Ebola outbreak, primarily affecting Congo with the rare Bundibugyo strain.
Announced by WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the strategy seeks political and financial backing to curb the rapidly spreading virus.
So far, 381 cases and 62 deaths have been reported. Despite $315.8 million in donor pledges, the plan demands further financial commitment to succeed.
