Britain's health minister Matt Hancock has called for an increase in trains operating on the London Underground system to prevent members of the public being at risk of contracting coronavirus on packed carriages. Last week, London mayor Sadiq Khan announced the Tube would reduce the number of trains as workers were told to stay at home.

"We should have more Tube trains running," Hancock said at a press conference. "There is no good reason in the information I have seen that the current levels of Tube provision should be as low as they are."
