Senior PML-N leader Javed Latif voiced strong disapproval of the Shehbaz Sharif-led administration, deeming it a product of an 'arrangement,' ARY News reported on Wednesday. Speaking on ARY News' 'Off the Record,' Latif stressed prioritizing the state's interests over party affiliations, noting the PML-N's survival ties to the nation’s well-being.
Latif called for a comparative analysis of achievements between PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and PTI founder Imran Khan, asserting the necessity of recognizing their legitimacy. He issued a stern warning against ongoing political interference, forecasting further detrimental outcomes.
'Elections reflect the people's choices, not a rigged system,' Latif stated, per ARY News. 'Nawaz Sharif remains silent while politics revolves around prisoner number 804 [Imran Khan],' he added.
Expressing regret over the so-called 'arrangement' that led to the current government, Latif hinted at passive institutional roles in the political landscape without naming specific entities, ARY News noted. He urged transparency regarding the facilitation extended to political factions, accentuating the need for acknowledgment.
Latif also condemned the PTI and its leader Imran Khan for unfulfilled promises and resorting to political victimization. He accused the PTI's rise to power of being facilitated by certain elements and blamed its leadership for the prevailing political instability. Additionally, he criticized the judiciary's selective approach and expedited cases against PML-N leaders, according to ANI.
