Indian Divers Join Nepal Efforts to Locate Missing Buses in Trishuli River

A 12-member team from India's NDRF has joined Nepal's search efforts to locate two buses swept away by a landslide into the Trishuli River on July 12. The buses, carrying 65 passengers, remain missing, with ongoing efforts by Nepalese and Indian rescue teams.

A 12-member team, including four divers from India's National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), has joined Nepali search teams to locate two buses missing in the Trishuli River following a July 12 landslide.

The landslide hit two buses carrying 65 passengers on the Narayanghat-Muglin road section. Three passengers managed to swim to safety.

Chief District Officer Indra Dev Yadav confirmed the Indian NDRF team started the search operation on Sunday morning. Rescue teams from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and APF have been searching since the incident but have yet to trace the buses.

Over 200 security personnel have been deployed, with 25 bodies found and 17 identified. The whereabouts of the buses and 37 passengers remain unknown. The Indian team's arrival follows a request from Nepal's government for additional manpower and equipment.
