External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has lauded the budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, branding it as 'exceptionally important.' Speaking on Wednesday, Jaishankar emphasized that this budget marks the first of the third term of the NDA government and comes during a period of global volatility and uncertainty.

In an interview with ANI, Jaishankar discussed the global implications of the budget, noting that it aims to maintain growth, manage inflation, and ensure India's development is not hindered by an adverse international climate. He also highlighted the nine priority areas outlined in the budget - including skilling, education, infrastructure development, and agriculture.
