Dubai, UAE [July 29] (ANI/WAM): The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has unveiled two new marine transport lines aimed at serving the residential areas of Dubai Creek Harbour. These lines are designed to connect key tourist attractions and enhance local transportation options, fostering the emirate's infrastructure development.

The first marine line will operate between Dubai Creek Harbour and Dubai Festival City on weekends, running from 16:00 to 23:55. Meanwhile, the second line will connect Dubai Creek Harbour to Al Jaddaf Marine Transport Station and Al Khor Metro Station on weekdays, operating from 07:30 to 10:50 and 16:00 to 22:50. The fare is set at AED 2 per stop.

According to Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA's Public Transport Agency, the newly launched lines have already witnessed significant uptake, increasing from an average of 3,000 monthly passengers in August 2022 to 30,000 in the current year. The initiative follows a collaboration agreement with Emaar Properties, aiming to improve infrastructure and enhance customer satisfaction.

Ahmed Al Matrooshi, Executive Board Member of Emaar, highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving the UAE's vision and economic goals. He noted that the collaboration not only strengthens Dubai's global position but also makes sea-view developments more accessible and attractive for residents and tourists alike.

The RTA reiterated its commitment to improving public and tourist marine transportation services. By working closely with real estate developers and aligning with customer needs, the authority aims to meet its strategic objectives and enhance overall well-being in Dubai.
