The Sindhi Foundation staged a protest in front of the Pakistani Consulate in Chicago, demanding rights for the Sindhi community in Pakistan and bringing attention to the plight of Hindu girl Priya Kumari, human rights abuses, and alleged census manipulation.

At the forefront of the Sindhi Foundation's demands is the immediate release of Priya Kumari, a Sindhi Hindu minor abducted three years ago in Sindh Province. Her captivity symbolizes broader issues facing the Sindhi Hindu community.

Highlighting ongoing human rights abuses against Sindhis in Pakistan, the Foundation accused the state of sponsoring efforts to homogenize society in favor of Islam and the Urdu language. These policies have led to severe conditions for Sindhi Hindus, including land occupation, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings.

Vowing to continue protesting until their demands are met, including the safe return of Priya Kumari, the Sindhi Foundation called on international agencies to suspend aid to Pakistan until human rights violations against Sindhis stop. The Chicago protest is part of a series of demonstrations aimed at raising awareness and garnering international support for the Sindhi community's plight. (ANI)
