11 Dead in Manila Fire Linked to LPG Leak
A fire in Binondo, Manila, resulted in 11 deaths, reportedly caused by an LPG leak at a fourth-floor canteen. The blaze was extinguished after nearly three hours. Manila authorities are offering support to affected families.

As many as 11 people lost their lives when a fire broke out in a mixed residential-commercial district in Binondo, Manila, the Daily Tribune reported. Preliminary data from the Manila Bureau of Fire Protection indicated that the fire started at 7:20 am local time at a canteen located on the fourth floor of a building on Carvajal Street.
The blaze, attributed to a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) leak, was finally extinguished at 10:04 am. According to Kagawad Nelson Ty of Barangay 289, the 11 victims were trapped inside the building.
In response, Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna has mobilized the Manila Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) to provide psychological, medical, and financial assistance to the families affected by the tragedy, the Daily Tribune reported.
