India Monitors Uncertainty in Bangladesh Post-Hasina Resignation
Former Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty, highlighted India's keen watch on the political changes in Bangladesh post the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He emphasized India’s commitment to maintaining relations with any ensuing government amidst regional concerns.

Former Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty has expressed that India is closely monitoring the political developments in Bangladesh, following Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation amid anti-government protests.
Chakravarty noted that the resignation is a significant event leading to a potential period of uncertainty which could impact the region negatively. He emphasized India’s intention to continue its relations with the neighboring country despite the change in leadership.
Chakravarty commented on the Bangladesh government’s pressure due to mounting protests and the possible involvement of the Army. He emphasized that Bangladesh remains an important country for India, and New Delhi will collaborate with any new government. Meanwhile, Bangladesh's Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman confirmed an interim government will be formed and urged for peace in the nation.
