Preliminary forensic analysis has revealed that the bodies of six Israeli hostages recovered from Gaza bore bullet wounds, according to reports from Tel Aviv. The victims—Yagav Buchstab, Chaim Perry, Nadav Popwell, Avraham Monder, Alex Danzig, and Yoram Metzger—underwent examination at the Israel Institute of Forensic Medicine in Abu Kabir, where the marks indicating shooting were found.
In addition to these six, four other bodies were found in a tunnel beneath Khan Yunis and also transported to Abu Kabir. These four are believed to be terrorists, but interestingly, they did not exhibit any gunshot wounds, leaving uncertainty about the cause of death.
The six hostages had been confirmed alive and in good health at various times following their abduction on October 7, a day when at least 1,200 people were killed and 252 were taken hostage by Hamas. Out of the remaining 105 hostages, over 30 have been declared dead so far. Hamas has also been detaining two Israeli civilians since 2014 and 2015, as well as the bodies of two soldiers killed in 2014.
