Djibouti Speaker Explores Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: A Journey of Tolerance and Artistry

Dileita Mohamed Dileita, Speaker of the National Assembly of Djibouti, visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Accompanied by local officials, including Yousif Al Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, and FNC members Mohammed Ahmed Hassan Al Dhahouri and Mohammed Al Yamahi, the delegation explored the mosque's halls and external corridors.
The delegation received a briefing on the mosque's core message of coexistence, tolerance, and openness, rooted in UAE's founding values. They also delved into the Centre's role in promoting a tolerant Islamic culture and fostering global cultural communication while appreciating the mosque's historic significance, aesthetic grandeur, and intricate Islamic architectural artistry.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Speaker was presented with a memento encapsulating the mosque's beauty. The gift included floral mosaic designs from the mosque's exterior columns, a compass inspired by the chandeliers, and a copy of 'Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace,' a photographic publication showcasing the mosque's architectural splendor and award-winning images from the 'Spaces of Light' Photography Award.
