Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy may visit India by the end of the year, following an invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to Ukraine's Ambassador to India, Oleksandr Polishchuk. The exact dates will be decided based on mutual convenience.
'Prime Minister Modi kindly invited my president to visit India, and I'm hopeful it will happen. Maybe by the end of this year, we will be happy to see President Zelenskyy here,' Polishchuk told ANI. He highlighted that the visit would be a significant step forward in bilateral ties and an opportunity for the leaders to discuss global peace-building efforts.
'President Zelenskyy is very keen to visit India. He has never been here,' Polishchuk added. Prime Minister Modi's recent visit to Ukraine was brief due to security concerns, but a visit in India would allow more room for extensive discussions, he said. The Indian and Ukrainian sides reiterated their commitment to international law and peaceful conflict resolution during Modi's visit to Ukraine in August.
