Egyptian President El-Sisi Meets Prominent EU and Danish Officials to Discuss Gaza Crisis

On Monday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held separate meetings with Denmark's Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen and Josep Borrell, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. The meetings were announced by Egypt's State Information Service and attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
During the discussions, President El-Sisi emphasized the critical importance of de-escalating tensions in Gaza and negotiating a ceasefire. He stressed that the exchange of hostages and detainees is necessary to alleviate the dire living conditions of Gaza's residents.
President El-Sisi reiterated the need for a two-state solution, aiming for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state to achieve justice, security, stability, and development in the region.
