The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) approached Rawalpindi's deputy commissioner's office on Tuesday to seek permission for a public rally on September 28, ARY News reported. PTI leaders Ghulam Husnain, Owais Younis, and Nabeel Satti submitted an application for the event at either Liaquat Bagh or Bhatta Chowk in Rawalpindi.

The PTI, founded by Imran Khan, urged the Rawalpindi DC to issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the rally, citing constitutional rights to conduct political activities. The request is currently under consideration. On Sunday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced a public gathering in Punjab's Mianwali on September 29, ARY News reported.

Gandapur said, "I will come and hold a gathering in Mianwali, followed by another show of power in Pindi and other cities." He added, "What should I apologize for? I have done nothing that warrants an apology; if you want to file cases, file them." He criticized the ruling parties for "unconstitutional activities" and reaffirmed support for Imran Khan, imprisoned for 414 days. Gandapur pledged to continue fighting for justice.

On September 21, PTI held a rally in Lahore, which ended abruptly when Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Ali Amin Gandapur did not arrive before the 6 pm deadline imposed in the NOC. The police took control of the stage, forcing PTI leadership, including Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, to vacate the venue.
