Disguised Robbers Target Tourists in Karachi Heist

In a daring robbery, criminals impersonating police officers targeted four foreign tourists in Karachi's DHA area, as reported by Geo News. The tourists, hailing from Poland, were relieved of $1,080 while on their way to Dolmen Mall for SIM cards, local police confirmed.

Despite leaving the country the following day without pressing charges, the tourists provided statements to the police. Authorities have since initiated an investigation using CCTV footage to track down the culprits, according to Geo News.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah condemned the robbery, demanding a thorough report from Karachi's additional inspector general. He stressed that the act tarnished the country's dignity and called for those responsible to be brought to justice, also emphasizing the importance of enhancing city surveillance.

In a related incident, ARY News reported the arrest of two suspects in Surjani Town accused of similar crimes. Identified as Arbaz and Junaid, the pair are thought to be part of a six-member gang involved in multiple home invasions. Police recovered stolen goods and filed nine charges against them.
