Pompeo meets senior N.Korean general in Washington

Washington, Jan 18 (AFP) US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo opened a rare meeting in Washington on Friday with a top North Korean general aimed at arranging a new summit, an AFP photographer said.

Pompeo and Kim Yong Chol did not respond to shouted questions as they posed for pictures before entering a meeting room at a hotel in Washington. AFP
