US President Donald Trump reiterated his claims of playing a pivotal role in preventing a nuclear confrontation between India and Pakistan following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. Trump emphasized that repeated military exchanges had urged him to negotiate peace, helping avert a potential nuclear conflict.

The White House credited Trump's diplomatic efforts with enabling a ceasefire after India's Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt highlighted Trump's successful foreign policy initiatives in reducing global tensions and conflicts.

India, however, has rebutted the notion of external intervention. Indian officials state that a direct military-to-military communication between India's and Pakistan's DGMOs led to ceasefire, after escalating tensions from India's counter-terror operations.
