The Indian government has reiterated its position that the entirety of Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh—including areas currently under Pakistani occupation—are integral parts of India. This assertion was made clear in official maps, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh revealed to the Lok Sabha on Thursday.

In response to a query by MP Anil Yeshwant Desai, Singh emphasized India's unwavering stance on the matter. Notably, this position is backed by the 1994 Resolution of the Indian Parliament, which unanimously enunciated that the whole region, including areas in Pakistan's control, belongs to India.

Further addressing concerns about Pakistan's ongoing occupation, the minister reaffirmed India's demand for Pakistan to vacate these territories. He noted that India has consistently lodged strong protests with Pakistan, rejecting any attempts to alter the status of these regions under its unlawful control.
