A pivotal roundtable discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between India and Nepal in the realms of new technology and startups recently took place in Janakpur. Spearheaded by the PHDCCI India-Nepal Centre, in collaboration with the Consulate General of India and co-organised with Nepal Young Entrepreneurs' Forum, the event gathered significant insights on the burgeoning startup scene.

The aim, as stated by the organisers, was to catalyze bilateral cooperation in sectors driven by technological advances. Chief Guest Devi Sahai Meena, Consul General of India in Birgunj, highlighted the potential for Nepalese businesses to leverage India's technological prowess. He noted India's growing reputation as a global IT hub and emphasized the country's third-place standing in fostering startups.

During the discussion, Atul K Thakur, Senior Secretary of the India-Nepal Centre, delivered a comprehensive overview of industrial transformations taking place in both countries. He underscored India's rapid economic growth and the opportunities it opens for neighboring Nepal. Thakur stressed that technology cooperation should be central to India-Nepal relations, which are enriched by strong cultural and social ties.
