The families of 16 Indian crew members, detained by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps aboard MT Valiant Roar, are urgently calling for government intervention. Among those held, Third Engineer Ketan Mehta's distraught family is pleading with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to aid in his release.

The vessel, intercepted on December 8, 2025, near Dibba Port in UAE's international waters, faces accusations of smuggling large quantities of fuel. The last communication Ketan had with his parents was on December 31, 2025, conveying a reassuring message of safety.

With concerns escalating, Ketan's family has sought help from India's Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy, but updates remain scarce. An emotional plea to the Prime Minister highlights their desperation as Ketan's mother remains inconsolable without any word from her son, now detained by Iranian authorities.
