MT Sarv Shakti, a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carrier registered in the Marshall Islands, has safely navigated the crucial Strait of Hormuz. Officials confirm the vessel, transporting 46,313 metric tonnes of Indian cargo, is on track to reach Visakhapatnam on May 13, bearing a 20-member crew dominated by Indian nationals.

On May 2, authorities highlighted that MT Sarv Shakti (IMO No. 9350599) had successfully completed the perilous crossing. Meanwhile, India's Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways provided assurances about the safety of Indian seafarers in the region, noting no incidents involving Indian-flagged ships in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry is collaborating closely with the Ministry of External Affairs and other maritime stakeholders to safeguard seafarers. The Directorate General of Shipping has maintained vigilant oversight, managing numerous communications daily, while over 2,922 Indian seafarers have safely returned home from the Gulf region.

With seamless port operations across India and no congestion reported, the Ministry emphasized its commitment to maintaining maritime safety and uninterrupted shipping amid regional uncertainties. (ANI)
