India has intensified its appeal for transformative changes to global governance frameworks, highlighting the outdated structure of multilateral entities amid shifting geopolitical dynamics. Speaking at a BRICS session focused on institutional reform, India emphasized that international organizations born in past eras cannot cope with today's interconnected, multipolar environment.

The Asian powerhouse warned of growing scrutiny over the efficiency and trustworthiness of global governance, asserting that reform is essential. Central to India's diplomatic push is the reform of the United Nations, specifically the Security Council, to enhance decision-making by increasing both permanent and non-permanent seats, especially for regions like Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

India called for urgent changes in international financial systems and criticized current global trading practices. Stressing sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international regulations, India declared the need for swift institutional evolution to address present day crises, committing to partnership efforts for a just global order.
