In a landmark diplomatic move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Norway on Monday, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the Scandinavian country in over four decades. The visit is part of Modi's expansive five-nation tour, designed to boost international ties and economic collaboration.

Prime Minister Modi was greeted warmly at the Government Guest House in Oslo by his Norwegian counterpart, Jonas Gahr Støre. The two leaders engaged in bilateral talks aimed at enhancing the strategic partnership between India and Norway, with a focus on trade and green transition initiatives.

In a display of mutual enthusiasm, PM Støre and other dignitaries, including Norway's Ambassador to India, May-Elin Stener, and India's Ambassador to Norway, Gloria Gangte, welcomed Modi at the airport. The visit will include meetings with King Harald V and Queen Sonja, participation in the India-Nordic Summit, and lays the groundwork for future cooperation in addressing global challenges.
