Bangladesh's stalwart cricketer, Mushfiqur Rahim, added another feather to his distinguished cap by scoring his 14th Test century, during the third day of the second Test against Pakistan at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. This achievement enabled him to surpass Mominul Haque as the leading Test century scorer for Bangladesh.

In his 102nd Test appearance, Rahim achieved the milestone with a boundary off Mohammad Abbas's delivery, earning a standing ovation. Rahim's impressive 137-run performance not only fueled Bangladesh's innings but also marked his entry into the 16,000 international runs club, the first for any Bangladeshi.

At 39, Rahim remains Bangladesh's top run-scorer in Test cricket, amassing 6,763 runs. His Sylhet innings comprised 12 fours and a six, crucial in setting a formidable 437-run target for Pakistan.
