Venezuela's Acting President Delcy Rodriguez has begun a five-day visit to India, aiming to fortify bilateral relations. The visit includes high-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders, focusing on cooperation across energy, trade, health, and various key sectors to bolster partnership momentum.
Venezuela's Acting President Delcy Rodriguez arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday for a five-day working visit, seeking to deepen bilateral relations with India. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) warmly welcomed Rodriguez, emphasizing the potential for enhancing cooperation and building on existing partnership momentum.
During her stay, Rodriguez is set to engage in bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and meet with key Indian officials, including External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The visit, initially set for participation in the International Big Cat Alliance Summit on June 1, was postponed, now focusing on formal diplomatic engagements.
The Venezuelan leader's agenda includes high-level discussions on mutual interests such as energy security, trade, health, and renewable energy. Aside from official talks, the delegation will explore India's industrial sectors, with planned site visits to energy, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries.
This visit underscores the expanding cooperation between India and Venezuela, strengthening ties rooted in long-standing energy sector partnerships. Continued collaboration in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and cultural exchange initiatives further cements the robust India-Venezuela relationship.
