Defiant Israel Stands Firm Against Newly Brokered US-Iran Deal

As diplomatic tides shift with a US-led agreement with Iran, Israel is firmly asserting its security strategy. Sagiv Steinberg, CEO of the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs, declared that Israel will sustain military operations against Hezbollah and reserves the right to attack Iran unilaterally.

Steinberg stressed that securing Israel's northern border is an undeniable strategic aim. Reflecting on the October 7 attacks, he emphasized zero tolerance for militant groups posing threats from nearby territories, insisting on the elimination of Hezbollah as a priority.

Despite international diplomatic efforts, Israel maintains a strong national security posture. Israeli Defence Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed that the military would not retreat from positions in Lebanon, signaling a hardline approach irrespective of US-led diplomatic agreements.
