Swedish government raises 2026 GDP forecast to 2.5%, maintains 2027 prediction

​The ‌Swedish government on Thursday ​raised its ‌GDP growth forecast for 2026 to 2.5%, ‌up from 2.3% seen ‌in June, the finance ministry said. It ⁠maintained ​a ⁠2027 forecast of 2.5%.

The ⁠right-wing government coalition and ​its support party are ⁠lagging the centre-left opposition ⁠block ​in opinion polls ahead of ⁠general elections on September ⁠13.
