Bessent says Iran is lashing out amid economic pressure of sanctions

​U.S. Treasury ‌Secretary Scott Bessent ​said on ‌Monday that Iran is taking the U.S. sanctions ‌on it seriously and ‌is lashing out now because it ⁠is losing ​economically.

"I ⁠would think that they ⁠are lashing out ​kinetically because they are losing ⁠economically," he told ⁠reporters ​at a meeting of G20 finance ⁠ministers and central bank ⁠governors ⁠in North Carolina.
