Ukraine notifies ICAO on unsafe Russian airspace, Kyiv says

​Ukraine has ‌officially notified the ​International Civil Aviation ‌Organization that Russian airspace was not safe for ‌civilian aviation due to ‌increased military activity, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii ⁠Sybyha ​said on ⁠Wednesday.

"We want to prevent ⁠unintended incidents," Sybiha said ​on the X platform. "The war ⁠is returning home ⁠to ​Russia. Ukraine exercises its inherent right ⁠to self-defence under Article ⁠51 ⁠of the UN Charter."
