Berlin welcomes Volkswagen turnaround agreement

​The ‌German government said ​on Friday that ‌it welcomed a turnaround agreement between the Volkswagen ‌supervisory board and ‌the company's employees that averted a clash ⁠between ​major ⁠stakeholders.

"This shows that cooperation ⁠between the social ​partners – employers and employees – is ⁠working, and that ⁠they ​were able to reach this ⁠compromise - we wholeheartedly welcome ⁠this," ⁠a government spokesperson said.
