Kremlin says UN Security Council should keep permanent membership and veto powers 

​The Kremlin ‌said on ​Tuesday that Russia believed ‌that the membership of the UN Security Council ‌should be expanded, but ‌that its structure of having permanent members ⁠with ​veto ⁠powers should remain.

Kremlin spokesman ⁠Dmitry Peskov was responding ​to a question from reporters ⁠about a proposal ⁠by ​Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to abolish ⁠both permanent membership and ⁠the ⁠veto.
