Fay weakens into a depression, NHC says

​Fay, ​located west-southwest ‌of the Azores, ​has again weakened ‌to a depression, the U.S. National Hurricane Center ‌said in its latest ‌advisory on Tuesday.

Fay was about 1,525 ⁠miles (2,455 ​km) ⁠west-southwest of the Azores, packing ⁠maximum sustained winds of ​35 mph (55 km/h), the NHC ⁠said, adding little ⁠change ​in strength is forecast, and ⁠that Fay is expected to ⁠become ⁠a post-tropical cyclone on Wednesday.
