Norway says US sanctions on ICC 'deeply concerning'

​Norwegian Foreign ‌Minister Espen Barth ​Eide said on ‌Friday it was deeply concerning that the US had ‌announced plans to ‌expand sanctions against the International Criminal Court (ICC).

He said ⁠Norway, ​together ⁠with other countries, was continuously assessing ⁠how best to ​support and protect the ⁠ICC in the situation it ⁠now ​faces, and whether it was ⁠possible to prevent the sanctions ⁠from ⁠actually being imposed.
