Peru copper output ticks down in August

​Copper ‌output in ​Peru, ‌the world's third-largest producer of the red ‌metal, fell 5% year-over-year ‌in August to 230,676 metric ⁠tons, ​the ⁠energy and mines ministry ⁠said on Friday.

In ​the January-to-August period, ⁠domestic copper production rose ⁠1.2% ​year-on-year to 1.8 ⁠million tons, the ⁠ministry ⁠added.
