Trump says Russia sanctions waiver is designed to keep Russia at negotiating table

​President Donald ‌Trump's decision ​to waive sanctions and tariffs ‌related to Russian exports is an effort to keep Russia ‌at the negotiating table, ‌the president said in a Truth Social post.

"My decision on ⁠Russia ​is ⁠a very simple one," Trump ⁠said in the post. "I am in ​the process of negotiating ⁠Peace in the war between Russia ⁠and ​Ukraine, and don’t want to do anything ⁠that will drive, foolishly, Russia away ⁠from ⁠the bargaining table."
