Berlin says it is worried by Netanyahu comments on lockdown of West Bank

​The ‌German foreign ​ministry is worried by ‌remarks of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pointing ‌to a possible ‌complete lockdown of the West Bank, ⁠a ​spokesperson ⁠said on Monday.

"As an ⁠occupying power, the Israeli ​army in the ⁠West Bank is obliged ⁠to ​uphold and protect the rights ⁠of Palestinians," the spokesperson ⁠added.
