Germany issues travel warning for Syria

​The ‌German foreign ​ministry on ‌Thursday warned against travel to Syria ‌and said ‌the German embassy in Damascus is ⁠closed ​to ⁠the general public.

It ⁠said emergency assistance ​and further consular ⁠services will continue ⁠to ​be handled by the ⁠German embassy ⁠in Beirut.
