Los Angeles Lakers guard Josh Hart underwent season-ending surgery on his right knee, the team announced Thursday. Hart had his patellar tendon repaired, according to the team.

Hart is expected to resume basketball activities in about 12 weeks. The 24-year-old Hart averaged 7.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in 67 games this season. He last played on March 19 against the Milwaukee Bucks as he dealt with knee soreness.

Hart averaged 7.9 points and 4.2 rebounds as a rookie in 2017-18.
