The Pittsburgh Penguins activated defenseman Olli Maatta from injured reserve on Friday, the team announced. Head coach Mike Sullivan said it would be a game-time decision as to whether Maatta would play Friday night when the Penguins meet the Nashville Predators on home ice.

Maatta missed 21 games since suffering an upper-body injury on Feb. 11 against the Philadelphia Flyers. On the season, the 24-year-old Finn has 13 points (one goal and 12 assists) in 55 games.
