65 pct chance of weak El Niño conditions in summer of 2019

There was an about 65 per cent chance of weak El Niño conditions continuing through the northern hemisphere summer 2019, a U.S. government weather forecaster said on Thursday.

The chances of the weather pattern continuing through the fall season were slightly lower at 50 to 55 per cent, the National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center (CPC) added in its monthly forecast.
